​How far from the moonlight

And stars must I get

Till memories of you

Fade away

Say no need to fret

Love's easy when you're

Willing to play

They tell me that one day

I'll learn to forget

A new love keeps
Old heartaches at bay

But tonight I recall

The midnights we met

Begged me to stay

My haunted present

In our love's past is set

All my dreams are of you

Come what may

I know that it's foolish

To live with regret
